Army personnel have been deployed at the Ashkona Hajj camp in the capital upon the request of the Health Ministry to control access and security of the Italy returnee Bangladeshi passengers.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the matter to media on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, 142 Bangladeshis returned from Italy, the worst-hit country in Europe, in the morning.

Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora said they have been tested and no-one of them showed any symptom of coronavirus infection.
