Around a hundred people have joined in a protest against building a quarantine centre in their neighbourhood near Diabari area in the capital.

They are protesting against the quarantine centre within the residential area from today morning.

The government planned to build the quarantine centre at the Rajuk Uttara Apartment Project in Sector-18, located near Diabari, Dhaka, for people with coronavirus symptoms.

A team under the supervision of the Bangladesh Army has started working on the compound to build the quarantine centre.

Another quarantine centre has been built at Hajj Camp adjacent to the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
