A director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) died from coronavirus at Kuwait Maitree Hospital in Uttara on Monday.
Jalal Uddin Mohammad Saifuzzaman, director (administration) of ACC, had tested positive for coronavirus seven days ago and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The ACC official was undergoing treatment there from March 30.
He died today, said Alimuzzamn, administrative officer of the hospital
His family members have been kept in quarantine. Their residence is at the Elephant road in the capital.
The official belonged to 22nd BCS cadre.
So far nine people have died from the deadly virus in Bangladesh and 88 got infected.
