A mobile court has fined 25 people with a total of Tk89,500 for wandering unnecessarily in the capital's Farmgate area on Monday. 

Rapid Action Battalion's Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam, who led the drive, told media. 

Sarwar Alam said the persons were fined and many were warned for violating the government instruction to stay at home to curb the transmission of the novel coronavirus. 

The drive will be continued across the capital to ensure people's staying at home, he added.
