CEMS Global exhibitions kick off in Dhaka

CEMS Global is organizing the third installations of “Food & Agro Bangladesh International Expo 2018”, “Agro Chem Bangladesh 2018” and the “International Poultry and Livestock Expo 2018”, from March 21-24 at Dhaka’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).

The inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday morning at the ICCB.

Food Minister Qamrul Islam attended the ceremony as chief guest while Md Mahfuzul Hoque, chairman of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority, Kamrul Islam, FCA, senior vice president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and MA Matin, director general of Rural Development Academy were present as special guests.

The four-day event will assemble agents, distributors, importers, trading companies, wholesalers, retailers, hotels, business representatives, consumers and bulk purchases on the same platform.

Around 130 exhibitors from China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Russia and Vietnam will be showcasing items such as packaging materials, processed and frozen food, organic agricultural products, agricultural machinery, refrigeration technology, among others.

A joint seminar titled “FoodCon Bangladesh 2018” by CEMS Global and BSAFE Foundation will be held on March 22 from 10:30am-12:30pm.

Since its inception in 1992, New York-based CEMS Global has spread its operations in seven countries and has organized over 40 exhibitions on important sectors of trade and economy.

The expo will be open for visitors from 10:30am-8:30pm.
