PRAN-RFL bags five national export trophies


Five companies of PRAN-RFL Group on Sunday received national export trophies for outstanding contribution in export segment for FY 2016-17. 

The award giving ceremony was held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital. 

The country’s leading conglomerate awarded the trophies from commerce ministry for exporting agro processing, plastic goods and light engineering products.  

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the crest and certificate to Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group, Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN Group, R N Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group, Sayed Hossain Chowdhury, Chief Operating Officer of Allplast Bangladesh and Uzma Chowdhury, Director of Corporate Finance at PRAN-RFL Group. 

The Government of Bangladesh awarded ‘Best National Export Trophy’ to PRAN-RFL Group as the highest exporter for the last 16 consecutive years.

In agro processing sector, PRAN Agro Ltd. and Habiganj agro Ltd. obtained the gold and bronze trophies respectively for FY 2016-17 while Durable Plastics Ltd. and Allplast Bangladesh Ltd. got silver and bronze trophies respectively in plastic goods sector. Besides Rangpur Metal Industries Ltd. obtained silver trophy for light engineering sector.

PRAN-RFL Group, the country’s leading food manufacturer and exporter, started exporting its products to France in 1997. At present, the group is exporting it wide range of products to 141 countries in the globe.

Kamruzzaman Kamal, Director of Marketing at PRAN-RFL Group said, ‘We got the award as our world-wide consumers keep trust on our brands. We manufacture our product considering the demand of people. We are very delighted for getting the best exporter award.” 

PRAN has a big market in India and Middle East countries. PRAN-RFL products are now available in Africa, Europe and North & South America region, he added.
