Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed on Monday said that the condition of Tk5, Tk10, and Tk20 notes in circulation is very poor and it needs to be changed soon.
He made the remark while talking to reporters following a meeting with officials of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) held at his secretariat office in Dhaka.
Salehuddin said that the budget might be reviewed either this month or next.
Additionally, he emphasised that the government has closed the opportunity to convert black money into white.
He noted that any revisions or reconsiderations of the budget, particularly concerning mega projects, would be decided at the highest levels of the government.
