Schools to reopen only if infection rate falls under 5pc: Dipu Moni


Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has said that the government is planning to reopen schools and colleges across the country on June 13 if the coronavirus infection rate drops below 5 percent.

“We are ready to reopen educational institutions, but no risk will be taken in this regard,” she said at a program held at the National Press Club on Saturday.

The education minister said “If the corona infection rate falls below 5 per cent, the educational institutions will be reopened on June 13.”

Earlier on May 27, the Ministry of Education directed to make necessary preparations and arrangements for the re-opening of the educational institution from June 13.

In this regard, a press release was issued by the Administration and Establishment Department of the Secondary and Higher Education Department.
