Pry schools sans registration to be inoperative from Jan 1


Primary and Mass Education Ministry has informed that primary school without registration and approval will not be allowed to provide lessons with students from January 1 next year.   

Policy has been formulated to bring the schools (running without approval) under law, said secretary of the ministry concerned Farid Ahmed.

He said the policy will be published in the next week. Schools which will not apply for registration and teaching accreditation within three months of publication of policy will be shut down.  

Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmed came up with this information at a press briefing held at the conference room of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry in the capital marking the International Literacy Day at 11:00 am on Thursday.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain was present on the occasion.
