‘Borbaad’ in the list of world popular movies

Shakib Khan-starrer film “Borbaad” was released in theatres across the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Even after seventeen days of its release, the film is still dominating the cinemas.

Meanwhile, the Mehedi Hasan Hridoy-directed movie has appeared on the list of the world’s popular online database IMDb (Internet Movie Database). The film is at 44th place on the list of the database’s top 100 most popular movies.

The Hollywood movie “A Minecraft” is in the top of the chart, along with “Snow White”, “Anora”, “Superman”, “Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning”, “Sikandar”, “Captain America: Brave New World”, the Bangladeshi movie ‘Borbaad’ has also been included. “Borbaad” has received a 7.4 rating on IMDb.

Director Mehedi Hasan Hridoy is very happy after seeing the movie in the chart of IMDb’s popular movie list. The elated director told the media, “It is a matter of pride that our cinema has taken the 44th place on the IMDb chart. It is also matter of great joy.

“Our domestic cinema is now being released abroad, now it is finding a place on IMDb. That means our Bangladeshi cinema is going international. It is certainly a matter of great joy for our industry, and at the same time, a matter of pride for everyone”, he added.
