IDRA, Green Delta launch campaign on 'ins for all'

Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) recently organised an event tilted: 'Shobar Jonno Bima' in collaboration with Green Delta Insurance.

IDRA employees donated their 1 day salary to bring 1000 rickshaw pullers/cleaners/community police under insurance coverage.

IDRA also paid the insurance premium for 1000 Accidental Policies to Green Delta Insurance.

In return Green Delta Insurance will issue the policy for 1000 rickshaw pullers/cleaners/community. 

This will cover the rickshaw pullers for 1 year with an amount of BDT 0.1 million.

"This is a historic moment for Bangladesh insurance industry as an initiative like this was never taken before.This will ensure the safety of the rickshaw pullers/cleaners/community police in their difficult times when they face serious accidents," said a statement.

IDRA chairman Shafiqur Rahman Patwary was the chief guest while, members of IDRA Gokul Chand Das and Borhan Uddin Ahmed were also present.

Managing Director & CEO of Green Delta Insurance Farzana Chowdhury, Advisor and Founding Managing Nasir A. Choudhury along with other high officials from both the organizations were also present.
