Two officials of the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh have been suspended in connection with the October 4 national grid failure.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid disclosed the information after receiving the Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) investigation report on Sunday.
One of the two PGCB officials is an assistant engineer, while the other is a deputy assistant engineer.
Mentioning that the decision would be implemented by Sunday, he said others involved will be found out within a week.
On October 4 afternoon, there was a near-complete nationwide blackout when the national grid failed.
