Govt to purchase per kg paddy at Tk 28, rice at Tk 42
The government has fixed purchasing price of Aman paddy at Tk 28 per kg and rice at Tk 42 per kg.
In addition, the government will collect five lakh tons of rice and three lakh tons of paddy in this season. The collection of paddy-rice will begin from November 10.
The Food Planning Monitoring Committee (FPMC) took the decision in a meeting today (Tuesday).
