Bangladesh skips UN vote against Russia


Bangladesh has not cast UNGA vote which purported to reprimand Russia and impose compensation on the country for attacking Ukraine.

A resolution was passed on Monday asking Russia to pay reparations to Ukraine for loss of lives and properties.

Totally, 94 out of 193 members voted in favour of the resolution.

Meanwhile, 14 countries including China, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Syria and Belarus voted against and 73 skipped.

The countries abstained from casting votes include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan and Malaysia.
