Standing committee for increasing PSC members from 15 to 20

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Public Administration has recommended for increasing members of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) from 15 to 20. 

Besides, the committee spoke on the need for forming Public Service Commission Secretariat and making rules under the law.

It also suggested for submitting final report of the 'Bangladesh Public Service Commission Bill 2022' to Jatiya Sangsad incorporating the new provisions, necessary amendments, additions and modifications.

The recommendations were made at a meeting of the standing committee on Wednesday with a view to increasing capacity of the PSC to timely hold examinations of growing number of candidates and publish results.
