Fuel prices reduced for June
The interim government has reduced the prices of fuel for the month of June.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a notification, announcing the revised fuel prices.
The price of diesel has been cut by Tk2 per litre, while petrol and octane have been lowered by Tk3 per litre for consumers.
New prices will take effect from 1 June (Sunday).
As per revised prices, the selling price of diesel has been reduced to Tk102 per litre from Tk104, petrol to Tk118 a litre from Tk121, and octane to Tk122 per litre from Tk125.
Besides, the price of kerosene has been fixed at Tk114 per litre.
In May, the government cut fuel prices by Tk1, while in April and March, it kept unchanged the petroleum prices.
In line with global market trends and the automated pricing formula, fuel prices are adjusted in the country every month.
