Main Eid Jamaat held at National Eidgah


The main congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha was held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in the capital at 7:30 am on Saturday.

Mufti Mohammad Abdul Malek, khatib of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, led the congregational prayer.

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus offered prayers at the main Eid Jamaat. He also exchanged Eid greetings with devotees there.

People from different classes and professions, including the members of the Advisory Council, diplomats, and dignitaries joined the Eid congregation.

Besides, Supreme Court and High Court judges, political leaders, and high civil and military officials also offered prayers there.

A special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of Bangladesh and welfare of the countrymen as well as Muslims of the world.

The Dhaka South City Corporation organised the Eid jamaat. There were arrangements for around 35,000 devotees to offer Eid prayers at the venue.
