A Dhaka court has sentenced ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to 10 years’ imprisonment in two more graft cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) over alleged irregularities in plot allocation under the RAJUK Purbachal New Town Project.

The court also fined her Tk200,000, in default of which, she will have to serve one year in jail.

Judge Robiul Alam of Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 announced the verdict on Monday (2 February).

In the same cases, Sheikh Hasina’s niece, Tulip Siddiq — a British Member of Parliament and the daughter of Sheikh Rehana — was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment. She was also fined Tk200,000, with a further one year of imprisonment in default.

The court sentenced Azmina Siddiq, one of the two principal accused, to seven years’ imprisonment in one case, along with a fine of Tk100,000 and six months’ rigorous imprisonment in default.

The other principal accused, Radwan Mujib Siddiq, received the same sentence.

The court also ordered the cancellation of the plots allocated in their names.

In addition, RAJUK member Khurshid Alam, the only accused currently in custody in the cases, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment in the two cases, fined Tk200,000, and handed a further one year of imprisonment in default of payment.

Earlier, on 18 January, the court had scheduled today for delivering the verdict in the Sheikh Hasina–Tulip–Radwan case, while on 13 January it set the same date for the Sheikh Hasina–Tulip–Azmina case. The two cases involve a total of 36 accused, with 18 in each.

Earlier, on 27 November 2025, the court sentenced Hasina to 21 years’ imprisonment in similar cases. Prison terms were also handed down to 20 other accused, including her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy and daughter Saima Wazed Putul, after they were found guilty.

Subsequently, on 1 December 2025, the court sentenced Hasina to five years’ imprisonment, her sister Sheikh Rehana to seven years, and Rehana’s daughter and UK MP Tulip Rizwana Siddiq to two years, along with separate sentences for 13 other accused.
