BPL10 companies apply for franchise ownership


A total of 10 organizations have submitted applications to own teams in the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) begins finalizing franchise rights for the next cycle of the tournament.

According to BCB sources, the interested parties include a mix of new investors and previous franchise holders, representing a range of corporate houses and business groups.

The applicants are Rangpur Riders (Bashundhara Group), Dhaka Capitals (Remark Herlan), Comilla Fighters (SS Group), Chittagong Kings (S. Q Sports), Khulna Titans (Mindtree Group), Rajshahi (Nabil Group), Rajshahi Kings (Desh Travels), Barishal (Akashbari Holiday), Sylhet Strikers (Cricket with Sami), and Noakhali (Bangla Mark).

BCB officials confirmed that all applications are currently under review. The board will assess the financial and operational proposals from each organization before awarding franchise rights.

The next edition of the BPL is scheduled for the December–January window, with a tentative start date of 19 December, while the player draft is set for 17 November.
