TCB launches open market sales today
The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is set to launch its open market sale (OMS) programme of key essential items today (Monday) to keep their prices within the buying capacity of common people, according to a press release.
The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh, the state-owned agency, will sell essential commodities by using 400-450 trucks across the country. The OMS programme will continue until January 27.
Soybean oil will be sold at Tk 110 per litre, while sugar at Tk 55 per kg, lentil at Tk 60 per kg, and onion at Tk 30 per kg.
A consumer can buy maximum two kgs of sugar, two kgs of lentils, and two litres of soybean oil from the TCB trucks.
