All shops, markets to be closed at 8pm from Monday

All shops, shopping malls, markets and kitchen markets across the country will be closed at 8pm from Monday, said State Minister for Labour and Employment  Begum Monnujan Sufian.

Sources said the government has taken the decision to save power and energy following an increase in the prices of fuel and gas in the international market.

The development came a day after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed all concerned to adopt measures to close shops and shopping malls, and kitchen markets at 8pm.
