Schoolboy ‘kills himself’ in Khulna

A schoolboy reportedly took his own life by hanging himself at his house in Tajpur village of Phultala upazila on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Siam, 16, a grade X student. He was the son of Ataharul Islam Rony of the village.

Mohammad Monir, officer-in-charge of Phultala Police Station, said they recovered the body around 8pm and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy.

It is still unclear why the boy killed himself.
