EPB announces strong export growth for July–January
The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) is pleased to announce the export performance statistics for the period of July–January 2024-25.
The latest data reflects a robust upward trend, highlighting the resilience and competitiveness of Bangladesh’s export sector.
In January 2025 alone, export earnings reached USD 28.97 billion, marking a 5.70% increase from USD 25.94 billion in January 2024. The cumulative export performance for July–January 2024-25 recorded an impressive 11.68% growth compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.
Apparel exports continue to dominate the sector, contributing USD 23.55 billion during this period—a 12% rise over July–January 2023-24. Other major export sectors, including Leather and Leather Goods, Agricultural Products, Home Textiles, Frozen Fish, and Plastic Products, also exhibited positive growth, reinforcing Bangladesh’s strong presence in global markets.
The export target for FY 2024-25 has been set at USD 50 billion, representing a projected growth of 12.44% over the last fiscal year. This ambitious goal underscores the nation’s commitment to expanding its global trade footprint and further strengthening its position in the international marketplace.
