Nearly 80pc candidates fail in RU’s B Unit admission test
Rajshahi University (RU) has published the results of the “B” Unit admission test for the 2024–25 academic session.
According to an official press release issued by the university’s Public Relations Office on Wednesday (April 17), the overall pass rate in the unit stands at 20.43%.
The ‘B’ Unit comprises six departments under the Faculty of Business Studies and the Institute of Business Administration.
The highest score achieved in the Commerce group is 77.50, while in the Non-Commerce group it is 60.25.
A total of 42,433 candidates took the admission test under this unit. Among them, 17,684 students appeared from the Commerce group, with 6,218 passing—yielding a pass rate of 35.16 percent.
Meanwhile, in the Non-Commerce group, 17,403 candidates took the exam, and only 950 students passed, resulting in a significantly lower pass rate of 5.46 percent. Of these, 618 were from the Science stream and 332 from the Humanities stream.
Candidates can view their individual results by logging into the admission website https://application.ru.ac.bd using their SSC and HSC roll numbers, education board names, and passing years. The university reserves the right to correct any errors found in the published results.
The total number of available seats in this unit is 559—367 for the Commerce group, 166 for Science, and 26 for Humanities under the Non-Commerce category.
