Madrasa, technical education get new chiefs

The government has named new heads for the Directorate of Madrasa Education and the Directorate of Technical Education.

The Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday announced these appointments in a government notification on Sunday.

Md Habibur Rahman, a member of the Chattogram Port Authority, appointed as the DG of the Directorate of Madrasa Education, and Chief Electric Inspector Abul Khair Md Akkas Ali appointed as DG of the Directorate of Technical Education.

This two government officials of the rank of additional secretary have been assigned to lead these directorates under the Technical and Madrasa Education Division of the education ministry.

The appointments aim to strengthen leadership in critical education and technical sectors.

The outgoing directors general have been reassigned to senior bureaucratic roles.

Shoaib Ahmad Khan (former DG, Technical Education) has been transferred as Additional Secretary in the Technical and Madrasa Education Division.

Md. Abdul Mannan (former DG, Madrasa Education) has been transferred as Additional Secretary in the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

Amena Begum, former DG of the Directorate of DNA Laboratory Management, has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
