FT ONLINE
Bangladesh's Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education will broadcast the lectures for students of class six to ten on Sangsad Television to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus in the country.
Thirty-five recorded classes will be aired from 9am to 9pm. However, the dates of the classes are yet to be decided.
Confirming the matter to reporters, Director (College, Administration) Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury said, "Recording of the classes has started from Saturday."
About one crore students of the secondary level will take part in the classes.
Earlier on March 16, the government announced to keep all the educational institutions closed from March 17 to 31 as a precautionary measure to coronavirus. The students have also been urged to stay at homes during this period.
Bangladesh reported its second death from coronavirus on Saturday and first death on March 18. The number of coronavirus infected patients is now 24 in the country.
