COVID-19 pandemicBD reports 43 more deaths, 1,724 new cases

Bangladesh confirmed 43 more Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours until early Tuesday.

With this, the total number of fatalities reached 4,802 and the death rate stood at 1.41%, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services.

In the last 24 hours, 1,724 people tested Covid-19 positive, bringing the infection tally to 341,056.

Health authorities reported another 2,439 people to have recovered from the disease in a day, rising the total number of recoveries to 245,594.

In the last 24 hours, 93 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 14,050 samples.

The latest daily infection rate was 12.27% while the overall rate stood at 19.41%.  

Besides, the deadly virus has killed 933,150 people globally and infected 29,466,633 so far.
