Independent TV journalist tests positive for coronavirus

A journalist of Independent television has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
"He is on vacation for last nine days," Independent Television's Head of News Mamun Abdullah said.
"The journalist went into self-isolation on March 26 after he started showing symptoms," CEO & Editor-in-Chief of Independent television M Shamsur Rahman said in a video message.
"We made a list of 47 others who came into contact with him and sent them to self-isolation," he added.
The journalist is currently under observation at the Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, a reporter of the television station said.
Bangladesh reported five new cases of coronavirus on Friday.
With this, the total number of coronavirus patients stands at 61. No new death was reported in the last 24 hours.
So far, six people have died from the virus infection in the country.
