Magura goes into 7-day lockdown

The district administration imposed a seven-day lockdown in Magura town and Mohammadpur upazila on Monday as the coronavirus infection has increased in the district at alarming rate.

The decision to impose lockdown was taken at a meeting of Covid-19 protection committee on Sunday.

Magura Civil Surgeon Shahidullah Dewan said a total of 1,726 men and women were infected with the virus in Magura so far. Of them, 17 people were infected in a day on Sunday.
