Bangladesh, Belarus discuss boosting ties


The newly-appointed non-resident ambassador of Belarus to Bangladesh, Mikhail Kasko, paid a maiden courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain at the ministry in Dhaka on Thursday.

At the outset, Ambassador Mikhail conveyed the greetings of the foreign minister of Belarus and expressed his determination to work for further enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Adviser Touhid welcomed the ambassador and expressed satisfaction at the current state of Bangladesh-Belarus bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening Bangladesh-Belarus bilateral relations particularly, in trade, food security, supply of fertilisers under the umbrella of the Bangladesh-Belarus Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
