Attacks on media outlets won’t be tolerated: CA’s Press Secretary

Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam today said threats and intimidation of journalists or attacking media outlets will not be tolerated.

He condemned the attack on the Prothom Alo office at Rajshahi in the strongest terms.

“If you have complaints against the journalism of Prothom Alo, the Daily Star, or any other media outlet, you can go to court to seek legal redress,” he said in a message on his verified Facebook account.

“You can also hold peaceful protests,” Alam said, adding that protests against media outlets are not new. “It has been going on for centuries.”
