Saudi Arabia revises fees for visa, Iqama renewals

The Saudi Ministry of Interior’s Absher Business platform has introduced updated fees for seven services offered to establishments, reports Gulf News, citing Okaz newspaper.

Among the changes, the fee for extending an exit and reentry visa has been set at SR103.5, while the renewal fees for the residency permit (Iqama) and the final exit have been revised to SR51.75 and SR70, respectively.

The updated fee for issuing an Iqama is also SR51.75, while the fee for requesting an employee report has been set at SR28.75. For expatriates, the cost of updating passport information is now SR69.

Absher Business clarified on its X (formerly Twitter) platform account that these fees apply to value-added services and are specifically for services implemented through the Absher Business platform. They are not part of the annual package employers subscribe to.

The Absher platform has also introduced several new services recently. One such service, available through the Absher Individuals platform, allows host individuals to report cases of absconding for visitors who entered the Kingdom on a visitor visa.

Absher outlined five conditions for submitting an absconding report. These include that the visitor's visa must be a personal or family visit visa, and the report can only be filed after seven days from the visa’s expiry.

Reports cannot be submitted more than 14 days after the visa expires, and the status of the visa must be expired. Additionally, each visitor can only have one report filed, and once submitted, the report cannot be cancelled.
