Name of Kabi Nazrul Institute changed

The name of the Kabi Nazrul Institute has been changed to ‘National Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam Institute’.

The Executive Director of the state-run institution, Latiful Islam Shibli, announced the change in a post on his verified Facebook account on Tuesday.

In the post, made at 1:39 pm, he wrote, "Alhamdulillah, from today, the name of the 'Kabi Nazrul Institute' has been changed. The new name is ‘National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam Institute’."

Earlier on 2 January, the government officially recognised Kazi Nazrul Islam as the National Poet, issuing a gazette notification.
