53 police officers transferred

The interim government has transferred 53 senior police officers to different posts and locations.

The Public Security Division (Police-1 Branch) of the Home Ministry issued two separate notifications in this regard on Thursday.

According to the official gazette, 19 Additional DIGs, 33 Superintendents of Police (SPs) and one Additional SP have been transferred by the order of the President. 

The transfer orders will come into effect immediately, said the notifications signed by Deputy Secretary Mahbubur Rahman.
