Daily Edin Editor passes away

Veteran journalist Ramkishore Mahalanbish (69), editor and publisher of Daily Edin newspaper; sister concern of North South Daily Edin Press Media Limited, is no more.

He died at 1 pm on Tuesday (August 12) while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Islami Bank Cardiac Hospital in Pallabi.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, two children and numerous admirers. His son Dr. Uday Kishore Mahalanbish confirmed this matter to reporters at 2 pm.

Ramkishore Mahalanbish had been suffering from respiratory problems for a long time. For the past few days, he had been undergoing treatment at the Islami Bank Cardiac Hospital in Pallabi for lung problems.

North South Group Chairman Saidul Islam Saju and Managing Director Yusuf Ali rushed to the hospital after hearing the news of the editor's death.

At the time, they consoled the bereaved family and, in a condolence message, wished the departed soul of the editor rest in peace and expressed deep condolences to the family.
