Judiciary sees major reshuffle
The government has made a major reshuffle in the judiciary by transferring 230 lower court judges to different workplaces across the country.
They include chief judicial magistrates, additional metropolitan sessions judges, additional district and sessions judges, joint district and sessions judges, and metropolitan magistrates.
On Monday, the law ministry issued four notifications in this regard, citing that transfers of the judges have been done in consultation with the Supreme Court.
The transferred judges have been asked to join their new workplaces after vesting their responsibilities in their respective authorities on 28 August.
The orders have been issued in the public interest, read the notifications.
