Tarique urges full probe into Dhaka airport fire

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has called for a full and transparent investigation into the fire that broke out at the cargo complex of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

In a statement on his official Facebook page on Saturday, he emphasised the need to determine the cause of the incident and strengthen public safety measures, particularly in light of the recent surge in fire incidents across the country.

He cited major fires at a factory in the Chattogram Export Processing Zone and a garments factory in Mirpur as examples of the growing risk.

Tarique Rahman expressed his thoughts and prayers for those affected, hoping that everyone remains safe.

He also acknowledged the efforts of the Fire Service, Armed Forces, and other responders, commending their swift and courageous action in containing the blaze.
