Mother, daughter killed as bus overturns in Gazipur

A woman and her daughter were killed as a passenger bus overturned after its driver lost control over the steering at Mouchak area on Gazipur- Chandra Highway in Kaliakoir Upazila of Gazipur on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Fatema Begum, 35, and her 9-month old daughter Arbi.

Officer-in-charge of Salna Highway Police Station Md Majibur Rahman said a bus of Ajmiri Paribahan overturned at the area at around 6:15 am, leaving the mother and daughter dead on the spot.
