Everyone backing Tuku in Tangail-5 constituency

Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, a potential BNP nomination candidate for Tangail Sadar-5 constituency, is holding daily meetings and discussions with Trinamool leaders and activists. His increased contact with the people of Tangail West and East has brought back the image of work among the leaders and activists.

BNP Central Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku held a meeting with people from all walks of life in Ward No. 9, Gala Union No. 2, Tangail Sadar-5 constituency, on Friday.

Tangail Sadar Upazila BNP President Md. Azgar Ali was present as a special guest at this exchange of views. The meeting was presided over by Md. Shafiqur Rahman Khan Shafiq, former organizing secretary of Tangail District BNP.

Thousands of grassroots leaders, district leaders, men and women and people from all walks of life participated in the meeting. At that time, the entire venue became filled with slogans. Everyone had the same slogan on their lips: Sultan Salahuddin Tukui is the worthy leader of the people of Tangail Sadar. He is the leader of the helpless people. There is no other leader for us except him.

The residents of Gala Union expressed their hope that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will nominate people's leader Sultan Salahuddin Tuku from Tangail Sadar-5 constituency in the upcoming elections and give him an opportunity to serve the people.

BNP Central Publicity Secretary Sultan Salauddin Tuku said, "I have received the love of the voters of Tangail Sadar-5 constituency and people from all walks of life for more than a year. The people of this area are honest and simple. Their humble behavior has impressed me."

Tuku also said, "I am eternally grateful to the people of Tangail Sadar. They have stood by me. The grassroots leaders and activists have embraced me. If BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman nominates me and gives me the opportunity to work for the people, I will make Tangail Sadar-5 constituency a model of development, God willing."

The speakers at the meeting said that those who are trying to get the party's nomination have created various conflicts among the leaders and activists of Tangail district BNP in the past. They have created divisions among the party leaders and activists. They have not kept track of the grassroots and renegade leaders and activists. The top two leaders of the district BNP have failed to form a full committee in the district.

They said, these two top leaders became desperate to save the leaders and activists of the Awami League after August 5. This was witnessed by the people of Tangail Sadar. They have extorted crores of taka to protect their own interests. Because of them, the image of BNP has been tarnished to a great extent.

The leaders also said that BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman called these two top leaders and gave them the signal for nomination. BNP leaders from Tangail Sadar-5 constituency strongly condemned such lies.
