Global coronavirus death toll mounts to 154,249

The global death toll from coronavirus jumped to 154,249 until   Saturday morning.

Besides, confirmed COVID-19 cases have reached 2,250,463, according to Worldometer.

Of those infected, 1,524,167 are currently being treated and 56,961 of them are in serious or critical condition.

So far 572,047  patients have recovered.

Coronavirus is affecting 210 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.

The World Health Organisation declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.

Bangladesh saw the highest death from coronavirus on Friday as 15 more people died from the virus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll in the country to 75.

Besides, 266 people tested positive for coronavirus during the period, taking the number of such cases in the country to 1838.

In USA, 710,272 people have been affected in the disease. Of them, 37,175 people have died and 63,510 people have recovered.

In Italy, 172,434 people have been affected in the disease. Of them, 22,745 people have died and 42,727 people have recovered.

In Spain, 190,839 people have been affected in the disease. Of them, 20,002 have died and 74,797 people have recovered.

In France, 147,969 people have been affected in the disease. Of them, 18,681 patients have died and 34,420 patients have recovered.

In UK 108,692 people have been affected in the disease. Of them, 14,576 people died.

In China, 82,719 people have been infected in the disease. Of them, 4,632 people have died and 77,944 have recovered.

In Saudi Arabia, 7,142 people have been affected in coronavirus. Of them, 87 patients have died and 1,049 people have recovered.

In Australia, 6,565 people have been infected in the coronavirus. Of them, 69 patients have died and 4,163 people have recovered.

In Canada, 31,927 people have been infected in the coronavirus. Of them, 1,310 patients have died and 10,543 people have recovered.
