Iran-US-Israel war poses a threat to global security: Araghchi

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned during an emergency phone call with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Sunday, April 5, 2026, that the joint military aggression by the U.S. and Israel against Iran poses a severe threat to global security.

According to a report by Tasnim News on Monday, Araghchi condemned the strikes on Iran’s industrial centers and peaceful nuclear facilities, calling them a dangerous violation of international protocols.

He urged the United Nations to intervene against these "war crimes" while reaffirming Iran's resolve to protect its national interests.

In response, Minister Jaishankar emphasized the urgent need for regional stability and expressed India’s support for international diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, which has escalated significantly since the targeted killings of top Iranian officials in late February.
