Land ministry issues warning over fraudulence


The Ministry of Land on Thursday urged the people to inform the law enforcement agencies immediately if anyone illegally demands money in the name of the ministry and or agencies/offices for transfer, recommendation or employment.

In a warning notice issued on Thursday, the ministry also requested all concerned to be careful and not to get distracted by the activities of the fraud rackets.

“It has been noticed recently that, a number of corrupt rackets are forging the signatures of land ministry officials and issuing fake appointment letters for their own profit, also, some are extorting money from ministry and its agencies/offices' officials by enticing them with transfers, even demanding money directly over the mobile phone in the name of the land ministry officials”, the ministry said.

There is no involvement of the ministry or any of its agency/office in this regard, it points out

The land ministry has issued several warnings in this regard.

If necessary, for any information related to the Ministry of Land, all concerned are requested, under instruction, to verify the information from 'Information Providing Officer' Md Abdur Rahman, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Land (Mobile No. - 01718633375).

The ministry's official web portal is ‘minland.portal.gov.bd’ and social media site - ‘www.facebook.com/minland.gov.bd’.
