Dr Jafar Uddin promoted to senior secretary

Commerce Secretary Dr Md Jafar Uddin has become a senior secretary to the government.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette on Monday notification in this regard promoting Dr Md Jafar Uddin as senior secretary. He will keep serving the Ministry of Commerce as its senior secretary.

Prior to becoming the secretary of ministry of commerce on September 16, 2019, Jafar also served as the secretary to the Ministry of Youth and Sports from February 26, 2019 to September 16, 2019.

Earlier, Dr Jafar served as the additional secretary (budget and macro economy) to the Finance Division.

With the latest promotion, the number of senior secretaries to the government now totaled 14.
