The road transport owners and workers on Thursday urged the government to resume the public transport services considering their sufferings.

The federation placed their three-point demand at a press conference at Jatiya Press Club.

Osman Ali, general secretary of the federation, read out their demands.

Their demands include providing financial assistance to transport workers and selling rice at Tk 10 per kg at bus terminals.

Osman said that they will stage demonstration across the country on May 2 and will give memorandum to deputy commissioners in every district on May 4 to press home their demands.
