Closure of Bangladesh border with India extended further


The closure of border of Bangladesh with India has been extended eight days more as the coronavirus or Covid-19 situation deteriorated there.

The order will remain effective till May 31, according to media report.

The immigration authorities informed that Bangladeshi people staying in India will be able to return country with the permission of High Commission showing Covid-19 negative certificate, including QR Code.

In the first phase, Bangladesh border with India was closed for 14 days (April 26 to May 9) while it was for May 9 to 23 in the second phase.
