Awami League's activities will remain closed: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir stated on Wednesday (March 19) that the political activities of the Awami League are currently banned and will remain so. Speaking to journalists at the BNP Chairman's office in Gulshan, he noted that although some Awami League members occasionally attempt to organize programs, these should not be given much importance as the public has completely rejected them. Emphasizing that politics and democracy should move in their own natural course, Fakhrul clarified that while the Awami League's operations are suspended, all other political parties are free to continue their activities. He concluded by saying that the Awami League's inability to accept public rejection leads them to these futile attempts, which ultimately yield no results.
