Discipline to be brought to transport sector in 2 years: Khokon

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon today hoped to bring discipline in the transport sector within two years.

“Awareness should be created among the people to supplement the efforts of the government for bringing discipline in the transport sector,” he told a press conference at the Nagar Bhaban here.

A ten-member committee led by DSCC Mayor Sayeed Khokon has been formed to bring discipline in the sector.

DSCC Executive Officer Khan Mohammad Bilal, member secretary of the committee Khandakar Rakibur Rahman, among others, were present at the press conference.

Khokon said, “It will take some times for bringing discipline, which eventually help stop road accident and reduce traffic jam….. We should launch awareness campaign for ensuring safe and smooth movement of people.”
