Global Sourcing Expo-2025 Dhaka to kick off for the first time on 1 Dec
The Global Sourcing Exhibition-2025 Dhaka, which is going to be held for the first time at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal, Dhaka from 1-3 December this year.
The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Ministry of Commerce are organising the Global Sourcing Expo aiming to highlight Bangladesh’s export potential to the global market and to further strengthen international business relations.
Mohammad Hasan Arif, vice-chairman & chief executive officer (CEO), EPB came up with the disclosure at the “Meet the Press” event at its conference room on Thursday.
Baby Rani Karmakar; Director General, Md Aktar Hossain Azad; Director General, other Directors and senior officials of the Export Promotion Bureau were also present during the briefing.
In this year’s Global Sourcing Expo 2025 Dhaka, buyers, businessmen, investors, importers, wholesalers, and supply chain representatives from China, Japan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the UAE, the USA, and many other countries will participate.
Speaking the event, Hasan Arif said their participation will add a new dimension to this expo, which will create new opportunities for Bangladeshi producers and exporters. This three-day event will feature 10 thematic seminars, online and offline B2B meetings, more than 150 stalls, fashion shows, a Networking Dinner and many more activities.
“The expo will showcase Bangladesh’s major export sectors—apparel, leather, home décor, ICT, agricultural products, plastics, pharmaceuticals, jute products, and many other promising industries—on an international platform,” he also said.
Hasan Arif highlighted that this event will create opportunities for exploring new markets, forming long-term business agreements, establishing partnerships with international brands, and strengthening the global competitiveness of Bangladeshi exporters and producers.
“The expo will create new pathways in the country’s export sector and present Bangladesh as a reliable sourcing hub to the world in a stronger way,” he stated.
