Deal for 205m Euro with EU today


The European Union will provide 205 million Euro to Bangladesh as grant assistance for implementing the Human Capital Development Programme for Bangladesh 2021 (HCDP21).

Economic Relations Division (ERD) Secretary Monowar Ahmed and Head of Delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh Ambassador Rensje Teerink will sign the grant agreement on behalf of their respective sides today at the National Economic Council (NEC)-2 conference room in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla
Nagar area, said an ERD official.

Out of the overall amount of 205 million Euro for the programme, an allocation of 150 million Euro is being allocated for primary education, 50 million Euro for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and five million Euro for complementary support for both the subsectors.
