Chhatra League leader Ilias Molla from Madaripur has now become the owner of nearly 20 crore taka due to the influence of his job in RAJUK. Details of Ilias' assets are presented in a series of reports today.

Ilias Molla is the son of Najab Ali Molla of Choto Meher Mouza of Bania village in Mostafapur union of Madaripur Sadar upazila. Ilias, who was immersed in the bottomless sea of ​​poverty since childhood, is today the owner of crores of taka. Despite growing up in financial hardship, he is today the deputy director of RAJUK. Ilias is the 5th of 6 sisters and 2 brothers. His father had a small-scale business at that time. Nazar Ali Molla lived in a very small tin house with his children.

Around 2012, Ilias Molla got a job as an assistant director at the Capital Development Authority. As soon as he got the job, his association with the bribery trade began. Although the issue of his accepting bribes had been in the public domain for a long time, it took some time for it to come out. Amidst all these rumors, he was promoted to the post of deputy director of the audit and budget branch.

Elias Molla got a job at Jagannath University (JUB) through lobbying by Awami League leaders due to his involvement in Chhatra League politics. In fact, it was because of this job at RAJUK that he started to make a fortune. Although he does not have anything of his own in Dhaka, he has a luxurious house in his village. In the past decade, he has built up assets worth crores of taka in the village and Dhaka, and has built luxurious buildings. He has bought bighas of land in his own village and various surrounding villages in his own name and name. He recently bought land worth crores of taka near the Mostafapur Boro Bridge on the Dhaka-Barisal highway. Moreover, he has a market and godown in the Tanti Bari area. How this Elias became the owner of so much wealth in such a short time is now the talk of the locals.

He has a huge influence in the village. With this influence, he has built a lathi-bali force in the area. Any journalist who goes to perform their duties faces threats. There are beatings as well.

Special investigation has revealed that this lathi-powered force is led by Kawsar Hossain, brother of former UP Chairman Quddus Mallick. It is also learnt that many people have been beaten and injured by this Kawsar force in the last two months. There are many who do not dare to speak out for fear of their lives.

On the spot, it can be seen that a luxurious house has been built in a village house at a cost of several crores of taka. The house is surrounded by a high wall. A beautiful gate. From a distance, the facade of a luxurious house under construction can be seen. Anyone who enters will be surprised by the eye-catching design of the house. A three-story building. A spiral staircase inside, a dome-shaped roof has been raised. Thousands of light points have been placed to enhance the beauty of the house. When you go to the back, a large pond catches your eye. The banks of the pond have been built with CC casting. A large ghat with a roof has been built adjacent to the house. A seating area with a roof has been built in the pond on both sides of the ghat. It is clear just by looking at it how much a person is capable of building such a luxurious house full of beauty. In addition, a 4-story mosque has been built next to the house at his own expense at a cost of crores of taka. The entire mosque is covered with tiles. A wall has been built around the mosque. A beautiful family graveyard has been built next to the mosque within the wall. Not only that, but it is absolutely impossible to get around without your own car. Even after the fall of the fascist government, he remains steadfast in his position.

Many people in the area know that he is a big officer of RAJUK. Some others know that Elias Molla works in a high position in the secretariat. It is understandable to the locals that Elias himself is the owner of this huge property. The people of Madaripur have demanded that these assets of RAJUK officer Elias Molla be investigated and brought under the law.

Upon visiting the RAJUK head office, it was learned that Elias had been transferred to the Uttara Zonal Office of RAJUK. Attempts were made to contact him by phone several times at that location, but he could not be reached.

It is learnt from the employees of the Audit and Budget Branch that he is never available when called, and his phone number is always switched off. In this era where people are immobile without a phone, it is a matter of concern how a responsible officer can be without a phone. Not only that, he could not be reached even when he went to the Uttara Zonal Office.

On the spot, it was found that various victims went to the said office to look for him but could not find him. A person named Abdus Sattar said, I heard that Ilyas Saheb has been transferred from the RAJUK head office to the Uttara zonal office. Even though he has been transferred, he has not had a permanent place to live yet. So, how can you say that he will turn off his phone? With a lot of difficulty, I got his number from the RAJUK website with my daughter.

When contacted later, Elias Molla told this reporter that he had a problem with his head.

Now the question remains, if he really has a problem in his head, how is he doing his job? Everyone knows where a mentally ill person is supposed to be, but how can he remain in his job through transfers without being punished despite committing so much corruption and irregularities.
